Unlock the Adventure in Remore: Infested Kingdom RPG

REMORE: INFESTED KINGDOM turn-based tactical RPG game released for Windows PC, but is also coming to Linux. Thanks to the imaginative team at Black Anchor for bringing this experience to life. Now out today on Steam Early Access. Let me introduce you to a fresh and exciting experience from WEBZEN. A well-known creator and distributor in the digital entertainment sphere. They've got something lined up for us - REMORE: INFESTED KINGDOM RPG. This isn't just your everyday game; it's a turn-based tactical RPG that's ready to shake things up in early access on Steam. Plus they also have plans in mind for native Linux support.
....supporting platforms like Mac / Linux is definitely what we want ideally.
While all of this may sound promising, it's important to note that the initial focus during early access is on adding fresh content and enhancing the user interface and experience. Black Anchor is planning to expand REMORE: INFESTED KINGDOM onto other platforms, but that will happen only after they have fine-tuned all the features of the RPG. Keep in mind, that they are a small indie team and have to prioritize their goals. However, there's a silver lining - Unity 3D is being used for development. Which gives us a solid foundation for Linux support in the future. Including Proton, for the time being. So, what's the REMORE: INFESTED KINGDOM turn-based tactical RPG all about? Imagine being dropped into a medieval world that's been hit by a catastrophic infestation. You're not just wandering around; you're there to survive. This means you've got to explore every area, gather critical supplies, and stay out of the way of the Infested. These creatures are dangerous and they're out there, wreaking havoc.

But it's not just about staying alive. The way you interact with the setting is key. You need to be smart about it - sneaking around in the dark, keeping a low profile, and choosing the perfect moment to engage in combat. Speaking of combat, it's not just about brute force. You've got a whole arsenal of historical weaponry at your disposal. Now, let's talk about what you can expect in the REMORE: INFESTED KINGDOM RPG, while in early access. You've got 7 different maps to explore and 3 characters to play. And weapons? There are more than 14 types to choose from. Plus, it caters to everyone, from newcomers to seasoned players. While offering three levels of game difficulty - Vengeance, Suffering, and Despair. But there's more. They've introduced a new mode called “Recurring Nightmare”. If you're up for a real challenge, this is where you'll find it. em>REMORE: INFESTED KINGDOM offers a perfect blend of tactical combat and RPG gaming, with a huge variety of weapons to choose from. Feedback is a big deal, and the developers have been paying attention. They've made adjustments based on what players have said, like tweaking combat damages and introducing a new stat called "Armor". You can find all the details about these updates in the official Developer Note on Steam. REMORE: INFESTED KINGDOM is not just another RPG title to add to your collection. Since this is a journey into a world that's harsh, challenging and demands your best strategy and skills. It’s all about immersing yourself in a medieval apocalypse and coming out on top. So, if you're ready for something that will test your limits and give you an experience like no other, keep an eye out on REMORE: INFESTED KINGDOM in early access on Steam.

Ienzo the Liar
#kingdom hearts#ienzo#library of ruina#project moon#yes this IS based on the pinocchio battle from library of ruina#it's a long story. i was supposed to draw this in july 2023. i didn't. there’s a whole dnd gimmick battle to go with it#me art#me post#pinocchio lor's tactics are pretty similar to zexion's in both re:com and kh2fm#copying your card deck (though zexion steals them instead of just copying them)#and changing the costs of your cards (can be compared to how zexion fucks with your ui in 2fm)#thematically relates less to xemnas's control and more to how zexion feels he is a creature of darkness#hence taking on shadow heartless features#wooden puppets hang from the ceiling in the background of pinocchio's battle and ive placed a hole in a suspicious place on each of them#aaand he's a child because pinocchio is a child#pinocchio lor specifically has the traits “curious” “copycat” and “liar”#which. ienzo :)#do you guys like the color palette I use for like every zexienzo drawing I do#not actually a question. I’m not going to stop using it#I CONSTANTLY forget to turn off red eye mode on my computer while drawing so it’s probably more blue than intended#I don’t really care though

Luigi as a jack of all stats character while Mario is a fragile speedster, you feel?
#Mario headcanons#anyways would love to see Luigi in an RPG other than the Mario & Luigi series#not that there's anything wrong with the M&L series I'd just like to see a fresh take with the mechanics completely changed up#and Peach/DK/Yoshi/Bowser/etc added in as allies#the rabbids game is the closest thing I can think of but that's less an RPG and more a turn-based tactics game#I mean Luigi as a fast/powerful long-range sniper with terrible defense IS a fun take#but doesn't hold up to the mechanics of Luigi's Mansion or the Mario & Luigi RPGS overall#(am thinking too hard about this)

Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis (2001) タクティクスオウガ外伝 The Knight of Lodis
Nintendo Game Boy Advance
The tactical RPG created by Quest was published by Nintendo in Japan and Atlus in the West. Tactics Ogre: The Knight of Lodis competed with genre giants like Final Fantasy and the Fire Emblem series on the Game Boy Advance. It has nothing to be ashamed of, as it is one of the best turn-based games on the GBA, alongside FF and FE. It's a shame it never officially came to Europe.

Still enjoying Baldur's Gate 3. My spouse is interested in the game too, though I think it's unlikely that he'll be able to get into it. He doesn't have much experience with turn based tactical games, and I think that ultimately the high level of complexity in BG3 is going to be a barrier to entry.
I can't even advise him to play an easy character like a fighter because you have to control every action taken by every member of your squad. Sometimes he watches me during combat and whenever I open up the action wheel and scroll through literally dozens of choices he's like "...this looks really complicated".
He loves Dragon Age, but honestly that series is far simpler to get into. It does have a lot of granularity in its tactical options, but you can also just choose to lower the difficulty and let the AI control your teammates and you can do just fine.
#honestly if I did not already have some experience with D&D 5e I think this game would be too complex for me#I think a better game to get him into turn based tactics would be X Com Enemy Unknown#he's more into sci fi than fantasy anyway and I think he'd love the base management aspect#but it does crucially lack romance elements#at least outside of my fevered imagination#video games#Dare Original

'Worms - "Letter"'
[MULTI] [GERMANY] [MAGAZINE, MULTI-PAGE] [1996]
"Dear teacher, Thank you for repeatedly mentioning my name in the class register. I was extremely happy about that. And the wicked lovely letter in the cool blue envelope was very delightful for me and especially my folks parents. I am looking forward to learning everything again next year, together with the kids that I used to beat up. I thank you for your friendliness and will visit in a moment to THANK YOU PERSONALLY … … with my favourite toy!" ~Translation by Enchanters_Eye, via r/translator

Front Mission (1995) – Where war is fought by machines and shaped by human conflict
Originally released for the Super Famicom, Front Mission is a tactical RPG that throws you into a futuristic war filled with political intrigue, moral dilemmas, and intense battles between towering mechs known as “Wanzers.”
Developed by G-Craft, a small Japanese studio with big ideas, and published by the legendary Square (now Square Enix) — the same minds behind Final Fantasy — the game was a bold step outside the company's usual fantasy fare. And it paid off.
With detailed visuals for its time, an atmospheric soundtrack, and a mature storyline involving global conspiracies and military factions, Front Mission stood out as a pioneer in the mecha-themed tactical RPG subgenre.
It’s more than just moving pieces on a grid — it’s feeling the weight of war in every decision.
